It was created to inform potential sponsors about the sport of 3 event water-skiing and describe the sponsorship opportunities currently available for Matthew Baxter. Matthew competes in what are known as the classic 3 water-ski events of slalom, trick and jump. Waterski Canada has a great write-up that describes each of these events available here. We are currently funding a trip to compete for Team Canada at the U17 World Water Ski Championship in Argentina from March 30 through April 5. Information about that exciting event may be found here. The expenses involved in this level of competition include transportation, training in the weeks leading up to the competition (which takes place in Florida for Canadian competitors at this time of year), accommodations, food, equipment and more.

As explained in the letter from Krista Jansen (link below), Executive Director of WSWC, neither Sport Canada (the Canadian government) nor WSWC (the national governing body for the sport) provide funding for Team Canada at this time. As a result, the funding of all expenses related to national and international tournament events are provided by the families of the athletes.
